Let's bring hope to our kids

About

LIT School of Hope

We’ re on a Mission to Give Hope to our kids.

LIT School of Hope is a ministry of LIT International.

The mission of LIT International is to provide educational and humanitarian services to those in need for the purpose of advancing Christian values in the U.S. and other nations.

A visit to some of the most forgotten areas of San Pedro Sula led to the dream of LIT School of Hope—a free, private, Christian elementary school for children who would not normally have the opportunity to go to school.

(Although public education is free in Honduras, for many parents, the costs associated with uniforms, school supplies, and other fees are too much to pay.)

The dream of opening the School of Hope was originally limited to 35 children, with the commitment of providing them an education until they are ready to enter university.

Today, LIT School of Hope has 70 children enrolled in Pre-K through 4th grade.

LIT’s School of Hope works to help change the lives of not only our students but their families as well.

Ongoing parenting skills classes and vocational training are provided for all parents and family members.
